New kitchen in Southern California

After 3 months we relocated to Mission Viejo in Southern California. To adapt here I've started decorating the house and painting the walls.
My new curtains, it took an hour to make my burlap sack curtains (from Walmart $2.98 a yard).
I sewed to create a rod pocket with black thread. I used a rod to hang it in from the window, then I used French toile ribbon and tied it in to pull from the sides.

This it my counter top, finally I'm able to use my Italian antique chairs which I bought in Miami in yard sale. I love them !

Here my burlap sack curtains .....so pretty.......

We haven't painted the kitchen yet, its coming soon.

Here are my 3 chairs since we're renting the house, we tried to fit a 5 bedroom house into 3 bedroom house. It's tough, considering most of my things are still in boxes.
